Arcanum: A Collection of Short Stories

Plymouth Proprietary Library Writers Group now see their first publication entitled: Arcanum: A Collection of Short Stories, based on topics of the Gothic, mystery and historical genres. This has been printed to celebrate the inaugural National Short Story Week and is available in Plymouth Proprietary Library.

Additionally, we are pleased that the Plymouth Arts Centre will be circulating this publication for viewing in The Green Room. Be warned ... there is a broad interpretation of Gothic!

Plymouth Proprietary Library - Short Story Competition

Plymouth Proprietary Library are currently arranging to hold a Short Story Competition. The event will be open to all - however it will be judged by those who are subscription Members of Plymouth Proprietary Library Writers Group.

'Ice, Mud and Blood' - Creative Writing Workshop with Clare George

We were pleased to see the novelist Clare George again in Plymouth Proprietary Library for another creative writing workshop on Monday 23 August 2010.

The theme of this workshop was: 'Ice, Mud and Blood' and is based on a book of the same title written by Professor Chris Turney; a Paleoclimatologist.

Plymouth Proprietary Library Writers Group & The Mutley Greenbank Trust

Discussions are in place for the Plymouth Proprietary Library Writers Group and The Mutley Greenbank Trust to work together on an Anthology of Creative Writing for Plymouth. This will help mark the Bicentenary of Plymouth Proprietary Library and the rapid progression of the Mutley Greenbank Trust to meld the milestone of the early 21st century with a wide range of creative writing inspired by Plymouth writers.
